English today is the number one international language and even hardened ultra-nationalist in countries of internationally less prominent, languages like Japanese and Chinese, are beginning to realize that you need English to reach the international market effectively. incidentally, English is one of the most difficult languages to learn if you were not born into it or taught from an early age. Have you ever come across any of those wonderful, translations on Chinese packaging? They make a good laugh. Language is at the heart of communications and when done wrong the whole message can be lost, as we shall see in my next post.
